In order to work effectively graduated compression socks must be the correct size and apply the right amount of pressure to the leg. It is essential that accurate measurements are taken.

  • All measurements should be taken on the bare leg, in centimeters, whilst standing (if possible).
  • Ensure that the tape measure is snug but not too tight.
  • Measurements should be taken when the leg is rested and not swollen

  • Calf - Widest point at the calf
  • Ankle - at the narrowest point above the ankle bone
